Using the PDFcrowd to HTML service, this add-on lets you save a webpage as a PDF file. Once you download it, you will see an icon that appears on your toolbar. To save the webpage that you are visiting in PDF format, all you have to do is click on the icon. While the default version of the add-on is free, there is also a paid version that enables you to adjust the settings for the PDF files to which you are converting the pages. Among other adjustments, you can change the margins, page orientation, and page size.
In some cases, the toolbar icon does not immediately appear. If that happens, right-click on the toolbar and click “Customize”, which will appear on the menu. Click and hold the “Save as PDF” button and drag it onto your toolbar. Note that the add-on does not work with pages that are protected by passwords, such as your e-mail box. Should any errors occur during the conversion process, you will see a red rectangle appear in the icon in your toolbar. Should that occur, you can view the error message by scrolling over the icon. A red dot may also be displayed to indicate that the default settings for the conversion were used because you were not logged into your PDFcrowd account.
